One day in early 1997, a group of friends were returning from a visit to the British Museum. They had been indulging in one of their passions, an interest in ancient Egypt.
Since then the society has gone from strength to strength. Our membership base is approximately seventy strong and throughout the year we have regular lectures given to us by speakers of both national and international repute in the world of Egyptology. We also organise day trips outings to places with Egyptian connections.
