Ofsted Registered childminder for St Peters Catholic School and Oakland’s Primary School.
Hello my name is Anita and I have been a Registered Childminder with Ofsted since April 2017.
I have a very strong background in care as I have worked as a carer, a field care supervisor and more recently a Health and Social Care Assessor, but due to the long hours and the problems I faced myself with regards to childcare, I decided to become a childminder again so I could help other families who face the same difficulties whilst also be there for my own family.
I have 4 beautiful children who's ages range from 12 to 26 all still living at home and I also own a small dog called Ollie. I have a nice sized living room which will be used as a play room during minded hours and a very big kitchen which will be used as an activity room during minded hours so children can draw, paint, colour, explore various types of messy play and much more as well as having somewhere to sit and dine at meal times. The children will also have access to a downstairs toilet which has been specifically decorated for little people.
Children will also be provided with a variety of stimulating toys, games and activities both indoors and outdoors as the setting has a free flow approach so the children can chose what they would like to play with and where, and we will also be visiting places such as parks, libraries, toddler groups, farms, soft play areas and may more places depending on the topics we are exploring and the interests of the children.
