Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are two forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (or IBD). Crohn's and Colitis UK's mission is to work with all those affected by these conditions to achieve a better quality of live, improve service, and ultimately find a cure.
We’re a team of volunteers who raise awareness of Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis in the local area and bring people together.
As a taste of what we do, we:
- Meet-up informally in a social space, to relax, welcome new people and build a bigger network in our local area.
- Host educational talks given by medical professionals who help keep us up-to-date about the latest developments in Infammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
- Attend information events to raise awareness about IBD, publicising the role of the Charity with patients and the general public.
- Raise funds to be spent locally on hospital equipment, raising awareness locally as well as National research projects.
