At Karate East Kent all aspects of Kyokushin Karate are taight:- self defence and two fighting styles for sport, competitions, non-contact and Knock-down. Karate East Kent also teach the full syllabus of Strikes, kicks, blocks and Kata (detailed patterns of movement) so that students can earn the right to wear the different coloured belts.
Kyokushinkai karate is a relatively modern, strong style, with a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline and hard training. Kyokushin karate has grown in popularity since the 1960’s and there are now many karate organisations all over the world teaching the kyokushin style. Ideal for self-defence, it can improve self-discipline, co-ordination and confidence in adults and children alike. Adults may want to improve their fitness, health, flexibility and strength whilst learning an excellent form of self-defence. It is also fun and you will make new friends in the friendly family atmosphere.
