Avante Care & Support is a Registered Charity supporting over 3000 older people through our registered nursing and dementia care homes and home care services.
Established in 1990, Avante Partnership (including Avante Care and Support, Avante Community Support and Stepahead Support) is a not for profit organisation and one of the largest social care providers in the South East.
We provide specialist dementia care in all of our care homes. We understand the specific challenges faced by people living with dementia and ensure our care teams are able to provide professional and compassionate care and support to both residents and their loved ones.
Avante Care & Support provides home care and support into peoples homes. Offering assistance with daily living, enabling individuals to maintain independent and active lives where possible. Our compassionate and fully trained staff provide support from 30 minute visits through to live-in care to achieve this outcome.
Our residential care homes provide a safe, warm and friendly environment with support for daily tasks such as washing, cleaning and laundry. In our homes, we work to create a welcoming atmosphere in which residents enjoy activities, go on outings and make friends with other residents. At the heart of every home is the Philosophy of Care, where social interaction and engagement is encouraged and boredom is eradicated.
We provide nursing care for individuals with specialist requirements in our care home Puddingstone Grange in Greenwich. Our nursing care team are fully qualified and have the specialist expertise required to care for residents’ varying medical needs and requirements. People who come to us may be living with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis or Motor Neurone Disease; others may have suffered a brain injury as a result of an accident or require ventilator care.
We firmly believe that everyone deserves dignity and respect as they approach the end of their life and we provide sensitive and compassionate end-of-life care through many of our care homes.
Our day care service provides a friendly and stimulating home-away-from-home for people who are still living at home, but who may need some additional support during the day. Many of our centres provide care for people with dementia, physical frailty or simply those who want a more active social environment. Our day centres give people the opportunity to socialise with friends and engage in a range of activities while their family carers have the peace of mind of knowing they are safe and cared for.
We understand how difficult it can be for families or friends providing ongoing care. For this reason it’s important to occasionally find time for yourself. Our respite care services provide a crucial break for carers, either for just a few hours with a visit to one of our care homes or day centres or an overnight stay in our care homes for a few days or a few weeks. This offers family carers the chance to do daily chores, go on holiday or simply have some well-earned time off.
