The organisation's aim is to champion the development of high quality person-centred services for everyone with a learning disability within the UK. They seek to put this mission into practice by doing things such as:promoting and/or participating in research into improving serviceshelping support staff to get appropriate trainingproducing materials aimed at improving training or practicesharing information and advice between providers of services for the benefit of allworking with people with learning disabilities themselves to develop best practice projectshelping to change the way services are provided in line with current policies in the four countriesassisting in better decision making by providing information to policy makerspromoting a better understanding of the support needs and rights of people with a learning disability and their legitimate place in society, both nationally and internationally
