Household support fund:
We're working with Citizens Advice to support local people struggling with the cost of living over the winter period. Support includes:
Supermarket vouchers - to buy food if you can't get to a foodbank. To supplement the foodbank, for example for food, toiletries. To buy warm clothes or shoes, blankets, duvets or essential homewares. The amount given will depend on individual need, family size and so on. You will receive the vouchers by email.
Fuel vouchers - get help with gas and electricity bills for prepayment meters. You will receive the vouchers by email.
Other support - we can also offer help with budgeting or tackling issues that are causing difficulties. This could include: support from Citizens Advice energy advice team. They can help you - deal with issues with utility companies, save money on your energy bills by switching, accessing discounts and grants or by improving energy effieciency, general advice on benefits, debt and money management, housing, employment immigration or family issues.
