How does the setting identify children with additional needs or SEND?
Regular observtions, assesments and unique stories completed by the key person identify children with any additional needs.
The nursery managers have both attended SENCO training and are always available to discuss any concerns.
How will I be informed / consulted about the ways in which my child is being supported?
Conversations with your Key person will happen daily.
When addiditional needs have been identified targeted or personalised plans will be completed and disussed with parents or carers.
How will the setting adapt the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for my child's needs?
We are an inclusive setting where all children are accommodated. The individual needs of all children will be met including those with additional needs.
What teaching strategies does the setting use for children with additional needs or learning difficulties?
Regular discussions with the key person and parents will take place to discuss your child's progress. Children identified will be issued a targeted or personalised plan.
What additional support does the setting provide for children with additional needs or SEND?
Children with additional needs are supoorted with a targeted or personalised plan which will be completed with the parent. Outside agencies are used for advice and support.
The setting uses visual aids and is using some simple makaton signs.
How will the setting monitor my child's progress and how will I be involved in this?
All children's progress is monitored with staff completing observations and assesments which is shared with parents.
How do you ensure children with additional needs or SEND can be included in the same activities as other children, including trips?
As we are an inclusive setting all children are included in all activities. Children with additional needs are supported however necessary.
How accessible is the building for children with mobility difficulties / wheelchair users?
The setting is on one level with wheelchair friendly doors and gates. We have a disabled toilet with a hand rail.
How will you support my child's transition to a new setting or school?
All children are supported through all transitions with discussions with parents taking place.
How does the setting assess the overall effectiveness of its SEN provision and how can parents / carers take part in this evaluation?
The setting benifits from having 2 SENCOs who attend Local Inclusion Forum Team meetings, SENCO forums.

What arrangements does the setting have for feedback from parents / carers, including compliments and complaints?
We welcome feedback from parents and annually send out a Parental Questionnaire.
We have a complaints policy and the managers will always aim to deal with complaints quickly and efficiently.
