SkillForce/Skill Centre Plus (Shepway)

SkillForce is a National Educational Charity which employs ex Service Personnel to work with young people.  Our instructors are passionate about inspiring young people to succeed and maximise their life chances.

Through a combination of on and off-site provision and a range of challenging, practical activities our inspiring role models will help prepare the students for the key transition into the world of work.

The Your Futures programme will focus on developing teamwork, problem-solving and leadership skills and building up confidence, resilience and initiative by engaging young people in practical, purposeful tasks. A reflective approach to individual and team success will ensure that participants gain a greater insight into their own skills and qualities and are able to take the next steps into their chosen career.

Young people will learn a range of Employability skills.  They will experience adventurous activities, an expedition, a Community Challenge and a range of supervised placements.  They will achieve a First Aid Award and a Navigation Award.  All of these elements will contribute to the creation of a detailed CV which the young people can use in the next stage of their career progression.
