From junior reporter to national Sunday newspaper editor – a career in Fleet Street... Join us on Friday 21 February for Talk Time at Lyminge Library with guest speaker Jonathan Holborow, a former British newspaper editor.




Jonathan landed a job with the Daily Mail in 1967. In 1969, he was promoted to become the paper's Scottish News Editor, then successively became its Northern Picture Editor, Northern News Editor, Deputy News Editor, and News Editor.



In 1980, he left to join Cambrian News as their editor in Aberystwyth, but left again two years later to return to London as Assistant Editor of the new Mail on Sunday.



In 1986, Holborow became Deputy Editor of Today then, a year later, returned to the Daily Mail as Associate Editor, and in 1988 became the Deputy Editor. In 1992, he was appointed as Editor of the Mail on Sunday.
