Dumpton Lodge is a leader in quality care, our aim is to offer a friendly, supportive and safe environment dedicated to providing person centred care.
Dumpton lodge is registered for 29 clients, it has magnificent sea views situated on the cliff top between Broadstairs and Dumpton Gap. The building was purchased by the present owners Colin and Angela Townsend in 1997 and extensively refurbished to provide modern facilities for the care of the elderly, and then again in 2009 a modern extension was added to provide additional sitting rooms, internal courtyard, wet rooms, a lift and additional bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
Dumpton Lodge offers a range of accommodation, including one room that can be used as a double on request. The majority of rooms are single with en-suite facilities, many with sea views or views on to the internal courtyard.
Jessica Beer is our home manager and she has been with the company for over 15 yrs. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, and she is assisted by three deputy managers.
We have a highly trained work force that are constantly improving their skills and knowledge.
Many clients have chosen to make Dumpton Lodge their permanent home, however we do provide respite care. High standards mean that you will benefit from individual care, provided in a friendly and dignified manner.
The care provided is designed to build on your own strengths and to help you to achieve goals and wishes to improve your quality of life.
We encourage you to personalise your room with items brought from home, and we do provide lockable facilities in each room. Every room has a TV point and a telephone can be installed.
Dumpton Lodge is a non- smoking building.
The home is served by a passenger lift and a chair lift, making access to the upper floor safe and easy. Although at present do not have any resident pets we value and welcome them.
We offer the following services in house, hairdressing, chiropody, optical care, dentistry, beauty treatments, physiotherapy and reflexology.
Holy Communion is held once a month, any other religious needs can be met.
Residents are able to retain their own GP if they are within the catchment area, if not residents will be assisted to decide upon a new GP. The district Nursing Service is used if any of our clients require nursing input as we do not provide nursing care at the home. However we are very proud of the quality of our end of life care.
Our dedicated team of staff strive to provide a person centred care service, individual choice is our commitment.
