We are a setting that enjoys all outdoor activities and many visits into our local community. We have a large new garden and the use of fields and woods in our school grounds. Outdoor play is a big part of our children’s development and learning. We have strong ties with our local school and communities. We hold an outstanding Ofsted and our visit from Ofsted praised and congratulated us on our amazing team of staff.

Local Offer

Description

All the children get based on observations made by key person, including the Progress Check at age 2. The assessments cover all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum as well as Characteristics of Effective Learning and Leuven Wellbeing and Involvement. Through observation and assessment we can identify children who may need further support. Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators will ensure that families have the best support and resources available to help with the development of your child.

Special Needs Support

Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators will ensure that families have the best support and resources available to help with the development of your child.

Your child's key worker and Senco shall Be supporting your child's wellbeing and overall development and communicating and keep updating you will the child’s progress on daily basis and we also have a open door policy so that the communication is easy and regular.

We can also organise meetings to support you with your child’s development and next steps.

We adapt to the Early Years Foundation curriculum for all children by following the Early Years Outcomes and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. The EYFS is an educational framework which allows your child's key worker to observe, assess and plan.  In the EYFS there are three prime areas of development and four specific areas of development. We regularly observe all children and keep track of their progress using an online learning journey which can be accessed and added to by parents and carers.

We plan for every "unique" child using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Characteristics of Effective Learning. Our well-trained SENco liaises with agencies as necessary to ensure that recommendations are carried through. We ensure that the child's targets are specific, measurable, accessible, realistic and timebound, these targets are agreed and reviewed with parents and carers while working with outside agencies.

We work in a close relationship between parents and carers, the child's key person and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENco). We write personalised plans which are agreed and reviewed with parents and carer

We regularly observe all children and keep track of their progress using an online learning journey.

Our ethos is an inclusive practice that enables all children to be able to access all activities regardless of their additional needs and to support the children.

both entrances and exits have wheel chair access.

We work in close partnership with all the schools.

We arrange school transition meetings and transition grids are prepared and submitted to the real net schools.

Parents / careers are an important part of overall effectiveness of SEN provision by regular parents meetings and parent feedback evaluation that helps us to work together.
