Notes

Each service user has an individual activity plan tailored around their likes and dislikes and staff are happy to look into enabling any other activities that residents would like to take part in but which are not currently available.

There are a variety of activities available at Springfield House. Some people attend either Thanet or Westgate College, while others have gained work through an employment agency, with one young man securing a job at the local Asda store.

Springfield House has its own activity co-ordinator, who attends the home on a weekly basis and arranges outings and other in-house activities. An aromatherapist also visits the house on a weekly basis.

Individuals can access local leisure centres for swimming, zumba classes and bowling or visit nearby parks, restaurants and pubs. Thanet also has a safe biking area, where bikes can be hired.
