The University of the Third Age (U3A) movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides, through its U3As, life-enhancing and life-changing opportunities. Retired and semi-retired people come together and learn together, not for qualifications but for its own reward: the sheer joy of discovery!
Tonbridge U3A has just over 1,000 members. We are run by, and succeeds through, the contribution of our members. There are over 90 interest groups covering a range of subjects from ambling and architecture to writing and world affairs. There are also theatre and travel outings and monthly speaker meetings.
We join with all other U3As in Kent in the Kent Network which is incorporated in the SE Forum. Both groups organise study days and the Forum organises conferences and summer schools which are open to all members.
We welcome new members.
