Stream Walk is a positive and creative community space where groups and individuals can practise, participate and learn about gardening and other related activities.
Stream Walk Community Garden is a safe and inclusive environment for all adults and children who use it.
We run weekly volunteer groups that carry out gardening, we have a group for families and run woodworking sessions in the Bodgers Hut. We also run the tea shed for refreshments, but our main purpose is to engage members of the community in garden activities and provide the facilities to do this.
We have several vegetable and fruit growing areas, wildlife plants, a pond, flower beds, hedges and a polytunnel for growing tender plants.
Our group members benefit from attending the Community Garden by learning about gardening or wood working skills, getting some fresh air and exercise and strengthening links in the community by volunteering together.
We run workshops and educational support groups and are available for private-hire events.
Stream Walk is a charity and we carry out fund raising activities and gain some small grants for the upkeep and development of the garden facilities. We are also supported by local people and businesses that make small donations by monthly standing order.
If you would like to make a regular donation please ask us for our bank details.
