Maidstone Mencap : YOUTH Club


Maidstone Mencap provides a Youth Club and young people from the ages of 16, on two Thursday evenings each month throughout the year, supported by a grant from the KCC local offer for short breaks

times are 6.30 - 8.30

we are based in our lovely hall, with in the grounds of Mote Park, with outings out within the community planned throughout the year.

Activities include craft, music games and cooking - .

the young people are supported by our mangement team and carers able to provide opportunities and experiences and the 1;1 support as appropriate, supporting and encouraging the fun, social interactions and skills needed towards independence.

Our air conditioned hall is based in the lovely grounds of Mote Park. we are able to utilise our space and activity planning over two floors, with a sensory room on the ground floor, and secure garden. 

for our youth club we encourage independence and self skills with the use of our kitchen, preparing a meal together as a additional social opportunitiy for the evening

 

we have parking facilities with ramp for ease of access with hoisting facilities- mobile and ceiling hoisting in our changing room and we have lift to the second floor.
