Special Needs Support

Any child who has additional needs on entry to the setting will continue to have any care plans followed.  Children may need extra help/support that is identified when they have started and if this is the case I will work in conjunction with any other professionals necessary in order to to meet the childs individual needs.

Children have a learning journal to record all observations and children's development. Any plans put in place by other professionals will be followed and the child supported. I will work in partnership with parents to give the best level of care I can.

Learning is through play and activities here and can be child initiated or adult led. Childrens interests are a big part of our play here and indoor and outdoor learning is paramount. Activities can always be adapted to cover ages and stages.

This is dependent on each special need but all activities can be adapted to suit all children and additional activities if needed can be incorporated within our day.

This can be discussed on each individual basis

Children have Learning Journals with photos and progress made.

All activities/trips will be adapted or risk assessed to include all children within our setting

The property is not suitable for wheelchair users due to steps within the property.

This is done through getting school ready, socialising, independence and learning through play.

A parent questionnaire is available every year. Parents are able to view the setting prior to their child starting
