Canterbury Oast Trust - Life skills for adults with a Learning disability

Canterbury Oast Trust offers adults with a learning disability a wide range of activites and training to enable and empower them to reach their full potential and to take their place as members of society.  Canterbury Oast Trust currently operates eight Life skills projects where we offer students vocational training both accredited and non-accredited.

Our Life skills offer activites and training in areas which include catering and hospitality, retail, IT, literacy and numeracy, music and dance, art and craft, horticulture and agriculture all supported by expert tutors who are supported by passionate teams.

Our services are spread across several sites including a double roundell Oast house, Tearooms in Rye, Poulton Wood our 28 acre nature reserve and of course our flagship site, The Rare Breed Centre at Woodchurch.

Our COT Pathfinders programme offers the oppotunity to understand what is needed for working life and our commercial based activities give students the experience to understand and gain skills in a real working environment.

COT also offer a mini-bus service that is open to students.
