Canterbury Oast Trust

Canterbury Oast Trust provides quality development opportunities for adults with a learning disability in a variety of vocational subjects and settings across Kent and East Sussex.

Our charityowns and runs 5 social enterprises where people can develop their skills in a supportive real life setting – challenging prejudice whilst developing personal capacity.

We run development programmes and training courses within our enterprises. Additionally we have our MYLIFE Skills Academy which delivers Core Skills courses in IT, Numeracy and Literacy.

We have been delivering development opportunities for over 20 years and our tutors have built up a wealth of experience. During this time we have supported the development of over 600 people.

The Trust promotes choice and independence after an individual needs assessment.

Everyone using our services has access to:

  • A varied programme of Life Skills
  • A creative and therapeutic environment
  • Supported work and voluntary placements
  • Support in preparation for employment

So whether you would like to develop your skills in caring for animals or your IT skills we have something to offer you.
