I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic childcare provider. I have raised my own 2 children single-handedly and am proud to say that they are both becoming wonderful young adults themselves :)

I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Riverview Park and have access to a car which ensures that children will not be solely confined to my setting but will be taken out (with your consent of course) to local parks and on trips. I believe that children should learn about the world around them, be in touch with nature and want to explore all things bright and wonderful, after all the early years is where it all begins!

My mission is to provide a stimulating learning environment which is fun but more importantly helps your children develop the confidence to 'believe in themselves' and achieve anything they want to in life. In my experience those who have a high level of confidence and self-esteem from a young age tend to thrive later on in reception years and in school life.

I provide colourful and bespoke observational, learning journals tailored to your child(ren) which you will have the opportunity to review regularly to get an insight into what your child is learning.

Whether your child will attending Gleaming Stars on a part time basis (a few hours a day or on selective days in the week) or full time, all activities provided to them will be in line with the EYFS and meet all 7 areas of learning and development which is crucial to their learning of essential skills in preparation for 'school'.

The children will always have a variety of resources available to them which are of the highest quality, in line with British standards and educational. They will also have access to a spacious outdoor garden area to explore in.

I am a big advocate of sensory play and the benefits associated with it. I am sensitive to the needs of children who have special educational needs and delays as I have experience of helping children who have Autism, communication delay and struggle with social awareness. All children are equal and will learn to integrate with one another and form fabulous friendships, regardless of what stage or age they are at.
