Nacro (Dover) - Study Programme

Nacro Study Programme: At Nacro our Study Programme offers a personalised curriculum to give each learner the best possible chance of getting into education, training or employment. The programme runs over approximately 30 weeks and is planned to include a relevant work placement so that the young person can gain vital job experience. The programme is 18 hours per week over 3 days, but can be made into a part-time course depending on the learner’s circumstances. We know that working with young people with barriers to education and employment can be challenging, therefore when things get tough we stick with the learners: we challenge their thinking. All whilst providing them with the support and knowledge they need to get ahead and get closer to the labour market.

Bursaries: To help the cost of Nacro College students, they can apply for a bursary and free lunches making travelling to Nacro a financially viable exercise. This is up to £40 per week, dependant on circumstances.

Referral: To enrol onto the Nacro Study Programme we need to complete a referral form. We will contact the young person directly to arrange an interview and, if they are successful, book them on the next induction. If you have any young people that you feel would like the opportunity to join this programme, then please contact the named person above (Chris Davis-Chapman).
