Bapchild Nursery

Bapchild and Tonge Nursery is part of Bapchild and Tonge CE Primary School. Our Nursery is for children 2 to 4 years old and the school is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School for boys and girls from the ages of 4 – 11. The Nursery is situated about one and a half miles east of Sittingbourne on the school site set aside to the main school building. The Nursery has a playroom which is organised into zones such as small world, craft area, reading corner, snack area amongst many others. Outside we have a self-contained area with an all-weather canopy and surface, a garden area that can have lots of toys to play with or build out of. We encourage the children to move between activities that they are interested in, both inside and outside, whilst also be encouraged by our Nursery Assistants to develop and extend their play and learning.

Extended FREE 30 hour funded places

To access this funding you need to apply before each term starts and you need to obtain a tax code from HMRC. Please enquire with the school/nursery office if you wish to access the 30 hour free entitlement. If you join the Nursery and you have not received a code in advance or have registered elsewhere, the normal charges for the extra 15 hours will have to apply until funding can be accessed for the following term.

Extras

This entitlement is completely free (15 hours, and or 30 hours where applicable). However Government funding does not cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or services.

If your child stays across lunchtime you will need to either purchase a hot meal (currently at £2.30 per day) or provide a packed lunch (only available for children staying for whole days).

For all new starters from 1st September 2021 staying for the whole day there will be an additional lunchtime supervision cost of £4.00 per day. For children who started before the 1st September the lunchtime supervision charge will be waived in full.
