The Canterbury branch of Headway East Kent aims to rehabilitate adults with acquired, traumatic and congenital brain injuries. Headway East Kent also offers a Carers' Support service to the families and carers of the brain injured who have their own set of issues to deal with.
The charity has been established since 1989 and has a wide range of experience working with brain injured adults at our five day centres across East Kent.
The centre operates a point of contact for people to meet with others in a similar situation to offer mutual support, understanding, information and awareness of brain injuries. Our clients follow social, educational and therapeutic programmes, both individually and in a group all undertaken in a relaxed and safe environment.
The Canterbury branch of Headway East Kent enables people to live independently, return to work, rediscover lost skills, gain new skills, access new opportunities, support community re-entry and assist clients and their families to come to terms with the effects of brain injuries.
The Canterbury branch of Headway East Kent works in partnership with all professionals in related fields to ensure the best for our clients. Headway East Kent will refer to other services as required.
