Notes
  • We are in the grounds of the Primary School in a converted house providing a homely and secure environment for children to receive care and education.

  • Children are able to stay for a morning session, morning with lunch, all day or an afternoon session; dependent on age and availability.

  • Typically the session runs with a mix of play through self selection, adult directed, free flow and general routines such as 'together time, snack time and end of session.

  • All our policies and procedures are available online and in the setting to view.
  • Parent(s) will be contacted should their child become unwell during the session.  They will be asked for their child to be collected at the earliest opportunity.

  • The nursery are able to administer prescribed medication to the child if required to do so. All medicines administered will be logged in the 'Medical File' and parent(s)/carer(s) will be asked to signature each authorised dose. All medication must be in it's original container labelled with clear dosage, date and the name of the child.
  • Children are provided with structured routine and boundaries to encourage them to understand there are acceptable limits of behaviour.
  • We have disabled access at the front of the building and access to the garden.

  • Home visits can be arranged on request. This can provide the initial step towards strong partnerships with parent(s) and settings within a community context.

Pembury School House Nursery welcomes all children age from two to four years old. Places are offered on a' first come first serve' basis. Places are regulated, according to the Statutory Framework for The Early Years Foundation Stage; with ratios typically exceeding the guideline of 1:4 for 2-3 year olds and 1:8 for over 3 year olds. We currently have two staff members that hold 'teacher status'. A waiting list is in operation so that parent(s)/carer(s) can register their child in advance so that we can contact them for the appropriate academic year or when a place becomes available. We endeavour to meet the needs for places where possible . Prospective parent(s)/carer(s) are sent a pack containing an enrolment form, a social profile, these forms provide the nursery with vital information about the child and family. Our prospectus is available online or on request to view. A £75 non refundable deposit is required to hold the place, £49 of which will be deducted from the first terms fees.
Notes
