Gravesend Rowing Club is one of the oldest rowing clubs on the tidal Thames, being established in 1878. Since then, Gravesend has produced numerous winners of the Doggetts Coat and Badge, a number of Henley competitors and International oarsmen. The club has a good selection of club boats, with a few racks available for privately owned sculls.
We cater for members from 14 years old and above and offer ‘Learn to Row’ courses for new members. Please check our home page for the most recent news on how to learn to row with us, or the membership and squad pages for more details on session times and joining us as an experienced rower or cox.
All sessions are led by British Rowing (BR) qualified coaches and their assistants, who have all adopted the Child Protection Policy and hold valid DBS certificates.
You are welcome to come along for a visit, to see our facilities and discuss learning to row or joining us as a new member at Gravesend.
