The Snowdown Choir was formed in 1929 by John Yorath, a Welshman, who was the choir-master of St. Peter's Church Aylesham, and although originally a miners' choir, the closure of the coalfield means that we now draw our members from all walks of life and from a wide area of Kent.
Joining us is Easy! Just turn up on a practice night and talk to any of the members. There is no voice test and you don't need to be able to read music - we'll sit you with an experienced singer, give you a music folder and you'll be singing before you know it.
