Saltwood Choral Society is a friendly group of people who enjoy singing together.
The Society performs two or three concerts during the year. The programmes have been varied, ranging, in a lighter vein from Gilbert and Sullivan, Edward German and ‘Songs from the Shows’ to the classical choir repertoire of Bach, Fauré, Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn and Vivaldi. At Christmas, the Society has a carol concert in the church.
The Society does not insist on auditions for prospective members and, although it is an advantage to be able to read music, many people find they can learn how to do this with experience.
