Young Kent Catalyst Programme

The Catalyst programme helps unemployed young people aged 18-25 to:

> Build their confidence, self esteem and motivation to succeed

> Gain valuable practical experience, knowledge and qualifications

> Develop skills for life and work

> Overcome their barriers to opportunity

> Move into a positive outcome and next step towards a more independent and rewarding future

Is it for you?

The programme is a combination of workshops, practical experience, group work and 1:1 support and mentoring.  It takes place two days per week for six weeks (three days in week three).

◊ Week 1 focusses on the group getting to know each other and team building

◊ Week 2 is spent planning and organising a social action project

◊ Week 3 is when you'll work as a team to deliver your social action project

◊ Week 4 provides opportunities to complete vocational training and gain a formal qualification (including First Aid)

◊ Week 5 focusses on developing employability skills, understanding what employers are looking for and how to demonstrate your value

◊ Week 6 is where you review your progress and develop your next steps plan.

The  programme then moves into the 1:1 stage to support  you to make the successful transition into employment, training or education.

Programme start dates:

12th January 2016 - Ashford

15th March 2016 - Maidstone
