Caring choice support services and activity centre for adults with learning disabilities

Our aim is to provide a friendly, caring environment whilst giving the highest standard of care. We believe it is important to accept service users as individuals with their own personalities, strengths and needs.

We will assist, guide and support service users in the development of a range of social and personal living skills for use at home, in education, employment, leisure and in the community.

We believe that all people have the right to live an independent, full and active life. Everybody has the right to privacy, dignity, independence, choice and self-expression.

Referral required?
Referral and availability notes

A referral from the local authority is required for commissioned services.

Privately funded service users requires self referral.

We understand how difficult change can be and therefore offer not only taster sessions but also a transitional period to ensure a smooth transfer from one service to another. We will also provide an assessment of the individual's needs which will be tailored to a person-centred plan and incorporates activities within the centre and the community.

To ensure our service user's receive the best care possible, we will collaborate not only with their parents/carers but also any other professional involved in their care and decision making.

The support our service users receive, whilst in our care, is of paramount importance. We also understand the necessity of having qualified staff trained in the latest techniques which is why we insist all our support staff either hold a qualification in Health and Social Care or are currently working towards it.

Every member of staff also holds a current Enhanced DBS certificate.

Transport is available for service users without challenging behaviour but is subject to location and availibility.
