Sheppey Scouts - 8th Sheppey Scout Group

Scouting change lives by offering 6 to 18 -year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.

Activities as diverse as kayaking, abseiling, expeditions overseas, photography, climbing and zorbing. Also can learn survival skills, first aid and much more.

There’s something for every young person. It’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world.

Referral and availability notes

This everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support us in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee.

We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.

There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before joining. All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Scouting. If you like the sound of this, contact us for further information......

Notes

We promote the development of young Girls or Boys in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of our local, national and international communities.

The Method of achieving this is by providing an enjoyable scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.
