Scribbles Pre-School

At Scribbles Pre-School we aim to:-

  • Provide high quality care and education for children, ensuring that we provide an environment that is safe, secure and welcoming. The children’s learning and development is recorded, ensuring that the curriculum meets the needs of every child, socially, intellectually, emotionally and physically.

  • We aim to work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;

Parents are regarded as members of our setting who have full participatory rights. These include a right to be: valued and respected, kept informed, consulted, involved and included at all levels.  We value parent’s feedback, regularly adapting the setting to meet the wishes of our parents, these are expressed through yearly questionnaires.

  • We aim to offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

  • We aim to nurture self-confidence and self-esteem and encourage independence. Through providing a rich play environment that promotes children’s rights to explore, question and learn.  Each child is given care and attention, is encouraged to participate and learn together.  We take forward his/her learning and development and build on these foundations.

30 Hours Extended Entitlement

Registered to provide up to 30 hours entitlement
30 Hours Partner Details (These are details of any other childcare provider(s) that this provider will work with to offer the 30 hours entitlement)

Government funding for Early Years Free Entitlement, and Free For Two (only if you meet eligibility criteria) means your child is entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week, which applies the term after the child is 3 years old (For Early Years Free Entitlement) This funding can be shared between two settings, funding is applied and claimed for by the pre-school.You will receive notice prior to your child reaching the start of their free entitlement. At which time we require to see your child's birth certificate. Without this evidence of your child's eligibility the pre-school will be unable to claim on your behalf. This is based on 15 hours per week, based on a minimum of 38 weeks per year. Where funding is not received, or additional hours are attended, then the normal pre-school fees apply.Families in receipt of the 30 hours funding can claim up to a maximum of 25 hours at Scribbles (Due to restrictions on opening hours) We work closely with a variety of other pre-schools and childminders to allow parents to claim the 30 hours between two registered providers.

Special Needs Support

As part of the setting's policy to make sure that its provision meets the needs of each individual child, we take account of any special needs a child may have. The setting works to the requirements of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice (2014).

This includes having a designated Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, this is Jessica Green.  The SENCO is responsible for ensuring that every child is developing and will liaise with parents, other professionals and outside agencies.  This is to ensure that the child is able to reach their full potential.  All information is treated in the strictest confidence and our confidentiality policy is adhered to at all times.
