I live in South Tonbridge with my Husband and my two daughters. I am 51 years old and have been married for 29 years.
My background in employment:
I was a Department Secretary for 8 years working in London with an Investment Management Bank. I then had my two children. When my youngest started Pre-School, I did voluntary work at St Stephen's (Tonbridge) Primary School, now called Royal Rise Primary School, where my eldest daughter attended, listening to children read in the classes and produced the weekly newsletter for the parents. I then started working as a Midday Supervisor and then taking the position of Senior Supervisor making sure the staff had appropriate training for activities for the children. For 2 years for the morning I worked at Ridge View School for Special Needs Children in the office, now called Nexus, Brook Street, Tonbridge. Then in 2006 I was given the opportunity to set up the St Stephen's (Tonbridge) Primary School Breakfast and After School Club as a Manager and went through the Ofsted Registration and Inspection Process. I am very proud of what I have acheived at the school over the years of working there.
I have been a Childminder for 12 years, first looking after my niece and nephew, then looking after other children. I have had over 100 children through my setting, ranging different ages. I was also Chairperson of The Tonbridge Childminding Group and did 7 years as the position.
