Charlotte Ann Taylor

I live in Addington, West Malling with my husband and two children. We have a daughter and son who are both at Scondary school full time.

We have a lovely home with a good sized garden with plenty of toys and activities.

I am OFSTED registered.

Having been a working Mum myself I totally understand what is entailed when leaving your little ones with someone else.

Our daughter and son both attend Secondary school though I do drop and collections from Ryarsh Primary School.

We are quite a healthy active family (I enjoy going for a run on the rare occasion I get time!) with lots of fresh air, cooking cakes, arts and crafts and lots of trips out.

We have a dediated playroom.

I can offer a variety of healthy meals - Breakfast, lunch and dinner - I tend to make food from scratch.

We have a big Soppy Golden Retriever who has been with us since she was six weeks old, she is adored by the chidlren.

Special Needs Support

We work using the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We are continually working on children's next steps etc so things would be identified regarding the child's development.

All children have a Key worker etc

If we have any queries etc we will discuss these with you on a regular basis.

We also work with children that will be similar in age so gaps can be easier to identify.

Myself or one of my staff is always available if a parent/carer has any questions.

We use a system called babysdays, next steps and progress is logged on here.

As well as a detailed handover notes will be added to the system if necessary.

You will be invited into the setting to see what is in place, ie what  your child's key worker is currently working on with your child.

If necessary a targeted or personalised plan will be put into place.

As above a Targeted or Personalised plan maybe put into place.

We also liaise with the local Health Visitors who are very helpful.

Next steps suitable for your child will be put into place, these will be shared with the parent/carer on a regular basis.

For example this could be a time line board (now and next board etc).

Now and next board.

Flash cars.

Calming box

Sensory box.

Quiet corner for when a child requires a quieter place.

Personalised, targeted plan etc

One on one time.

Strategies as above could be put into place.

Training is also ongoing and often aimed base on the development of individual children within the setting.

This will  be done via the babysdays system.

If required meeting's will also take place in the setting.

All children are included in the activities, for example a time line is used in the setting for all the children even if only required to support a couple of children.

All trips are also risk assessed prior.

If we do not feel a trip will not be suitable for a child a more suitable trip will be arranged similar to the one planned.

Maybe hard in the garden and via the front door as the setting is based at a house.

A transition report is done and the child's paperwork is handed to the school in advance.

Teacher's also sometimes do visit to our setting prior to starting school.

Charlotte Taylor

The setting has a compliments/complaints policy in line with Ofsted.
