Lottie Fudge

My name is Lottie Fudge and I am a qualified childminder with Tiney. an Ofsted registered childminding agency. I am a qualified teacher and have been working as a Reception teacher since 2019. I registered as a childminder in May 2022 and I am passionate about working with children.

I am based in beautiful Aycliffe, Dover, in a well-resourced home-from-home. I have a spacious garden which we use daily as our main play space. Each day is filled with child-initiated play and activities personalised to help support the children's development. We also love to explore all that Kent has to offer and my setting is a walkable distance to a local park, Shakespeare beach and Samphire Hoe. We also visit Dover Castle, Sunny Sands and Betteshanger Park. On other days, we may visit soft play, toddler groups and libraries.

From September 2023, I will be going on maternity leave for approximately 6 months. I will not be taking any new enquiries for September.

My setting is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:30pm throughout the year. I can pick/up and drop/off to Aycliffe Primary School and Nursery. My setting has availability from September 2022.

My fees are currently £6 an hour, which includes breakfast, dinner, snacks and outings. Parents will need to provide a packed lunch, nappies and wipes. I offer funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

I am registered with Tiney, an Ofsted registered childminding agency who offer world-class training and support to their growing community of childminders. Check out their website to find out more: https://www.tiney.co/ .

I offer free early education for two-, three- and four-year-olds which is based on a core offer of 570 hours universal or 1140 hours with extended for 3- and 4-year-olds. This offer is for 15/30 hours of FREE childcare per week term time only between the hours of 8am to 6pm. There is no minimum of hours taken a day, but sessions can be no longer than 10 hours. All children can bring a packed lunch.

Description

As a childcare provider and professional setting, I am committed to providing high-quality care and education to all children who enter my setting. This is regardless of their age, sex, ethnicity, disability or SEN need. I am dedicated to making reasonable adjustments for any child in my care who has a special educational need and will endeavour to support parents and carers as well as the child in their educational development.

Special Needs Support

In my setting, we spend time getting to know the children through play and activities, all the time making observations of their needs/abilities. If I have concerns, I may contact the SENIF team at KELSI for support before completing a personalised plan to put in place support/targets for the child.

You will receive daily updates through the Learning Journal feature on the Tiney app of your child's activities and development. Where necessary, personalised plans will be created in partnership with the parent and carer and reviewed regularly. Every long term, I meet with parent/carers to discuss the development of every child in my setting and this is also a time where any SEN needs will be discussed.

- Child-led play makes up the majority of our day so children are able to access resources/activities at their own pace and in their own way.
