Black Women of Canterbury Book Club

A book club for black women to read literature written by, for or about black women. Based in Canterbury, Kent   This is a safe and inclusive space for women and girls to discuss their stories and unique journeys of being a black/mixed race woman or girl in 21st century England. Although sharing stories about our own expereinces will be part of the group the main focus is to read literature (fiction and non fiction) and share our thoughts on new and exciting books.

Although people of all races, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds are welcome, this group is specifically for black/mixed race women.

Will decide this when the first meet up is decided!
Notes

Depending on how many people are interested I might hold the first few in my flat in Canterbury. If this is not an option or unaccessible for some people we will perhaps venture to a quiet coffee shop in Canterbury city centre to hold meetings.
