Amnesty International Canterbury Group

Amnesty International is a world-wide organisation whose purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Canterbury Amnesty Group campaigns for human rights, particularly in the area of women's rights, control of the arms trade, regulation of the use of drones and the closure of Guantanamo Bay detention centre. It has a special focus on Burma where it campaigns on behalf of prisoners-of-conscience. It is also involved in fund-raising activities.


Suitable for anyone aged 15 and above.
