We can take 24 children at any one session, with upto 6 members of staff. We work on the ratio of 1:4 for 2 year olds and 1:8 3/4 year olds. We have a playroom offering different areas of activities and a large well organised garden.

We offer 30 hour funding to 3 and 4 year olds that are eligible for free 30 hour care. On completion of the form on Childcare Choices, parents will be given an 11 digit number which is to be given to the Preschool Administrator who will check eligibility. On approval the 30 hour funding will be offered.
Our 30 hours are offered to eligible 3 and 4 years and is offered as full days 9.00 - 15.30, 6 hours funded plus a charge of £4.00.
Stand alone places are offered on a first come first serve basis, subject to availability.

How does the setting identify children with additional needs or SEND?
Lunsford Park Preschool is an inclusive setting and welcome everyone. We will work closely with the parents / carers and every child will have a keyperson. Our managers are always available and we have 2 Sencos within the setting.
How will I be informed / consulted about the ways in which my child is being supported?
The staff will work closely with the parents, the managers / Sencos and keyperson.
How will the setting adapt the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for my child's needs?
We use Tapestry online journal.
What teaching strategies does the setting use for children with additional needs or learning difficulties?
The keyperson will work closely with the child and family. There is an open door policy with all our parents and open comminication with the managers / sencos and keyworker with the parents / carers.
What additional support does the setting provide for children with additional needs or SEND?
Training is given to staff to help with all childrens needs and requirements.
How will the setting monitor my child's progress and how will I be involved in this?
We have 6 members of staff. 2 managers, 2 sencos, 2 DSL's, one of each will always be on site. Our staff are all level 3 qualified or above, we have 2 members of staff cirrently training. The children are monitored consistently and if there are any concerns the parents / carers will be notifield
How do you ensure children with additional needs or SEND can be included in the same activities as other children, including trips?
All children are included in all activities. They will be adjusted to each childs personal needs.
How accessible is the building for children with mobility difficulties / wheelchair users?
We have a disabled toilet and easy access for childrens with mobility difficulties.
How will you support my child's transition to a new setting or school?
As the children grow and are due to leave for school, during that last term, we encourage them to bring in PE kit to get changed into. Independence is encouraged, however at the childs pace.
How does the setting assess the overall effectiveness of its SEN provision and how can parents / carers take part in this evaluation?
The parents / carers and outside agencies will work together to cater for the childrens needs.
