This NCFE Level 2 Business and Enterprise course incorporates business skills within the skateboard culture. The course provides the students with knowledge on how to set up a new business and provides them with the skills they need to produce their own product plan, market and produce financial plans for their business. They will learn how to build and design their own professional skateboards from scratch. They will be supported in arranging and setting up their own skate events in which they would have their own stands and be able to sell the products they have made. They will also be encouraged to set up their own online shops in which again they will be able to sell their products. This will give them a real focus in their life in which they have been able to be successful in completing something that they are passionate about. This course is about not only re-engaging young people but giving them a future, in which they can succeed in. As well as teaching key academic and vocational qualification that are embedded into existing schools programmes, The Far Academy also supports students to achieve their core GCSE subjects. There are no entry requirements for this course.
