Age UK - Canterbury day centre for older people

The Canterbury day centre offers friendship and socialising to encourage good health and independence. This is recognised as being beneficial and can help prevent social isolation and early admission to hospital or care home.

Also offers hot meals delivered to your home; footcare; computer lessons to show you how you can keep in touch with loved ones by email; hairdressing; help with living independently; support for people looking after a family member or friend who is living with dementia; help after being discharged from hospital; befriending/companionship; handyperson service that can provide practical help with simple home maintenance;  hair dressing; manicures.

The Welcome café adjoins the day centre and is available to non-members who wish to call in and enjoy a freshly cooked meal or hot drink.

The Collins Unit offers a safe and stimulating environment for people living with dementia.
