Tenessee Marissa Tiffany Sarah Neal-Stanbrook

Hello, I'm Tess and I run Alotta Tots Childminding, based in Aylesham. We have a three-bedroom house with a back garden where you will find a lovely blue cabin, which is where all the fun begins.

The cabin is designed so children can access learning resources linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage. They will have access to toys in all 7 areas of the government-led curriculum, as well as, outdoor messy play, sensory play and endless possibilities of physical play.

The children will have access to community outdoor areas, such as play parks and country parks; we will also go on regular adventures
to playgroups, libraries, the zoo, cafés, role play, soft play (if age appropriate) etc. We may even travel by bus! The list is endless - all trips will be risk-assessed and I hold the correct car insurance.

Alotta Tots offers free-flow play with a balance of structured routine, i.e. breakfast time, lunchtime, story time, snack time and tidy-up time. I will provide children with activities I feel they show interest in, however, I do encourage child-led play as it gives them a sense of confidence and independence.

Learning development achievements and gaps will be identified through play where I will plan activities to enhance their development.

Special Needs Support

SEND will be identified through observations of children's development within an educational setting and tracked against the Development Matters framework to identify where the child's developmental milestones are and to identify any gaps in development where additional support is required.

Parents will receive developmental reports from me at least once a year, this will be increased if concerns are identified. As well as the completion of two-year check for children.

Parents will receive regular feedback on their children's development and a support plan will be discussed and organised between any professionals involved in the family and parents if developmental limitations are identified.

All children are supported in accordance with their own individual needs and interests. Your child will be encouraged to develop independence while feeling confident in seeking help when tasks are too challenging. All children will be supported in becoming school-ready.

Parents will be invited into the setting for regular parent's evening to discuss their child's development and any concerns they may have. in addition to this parents will have the flexibility to chat with me on drop off and collection as well as contacting me via email or WhatsApp.

I will complete direct observations of your child during play and I will regularly discuss these observations with parents inviting them to share additional information about the child's development within the home setting.

The setting has some accessibility however, further adaptions can be be made based on the child's needs.

Parents will have access to Ofsted's complaints/compliments information. Parents can also contact me directly to discuss any concerns they have with the aim of a resolution being made within 28 days.
