Bowercroft is a spacious 18 bedded private Residential Care Home registered for the care of elderly dementia sufferers. We have 18 single rooms, of which 16 have en suite facilities, alongside a spacious lounge, dining room, and visitor/quiet room. Our well equipped kitchen and conservatory lead on to a secluded garden with patio area for use in all weathers. The home boasts both passenger and chair lifts, 2 assisted bathrooms with hoists, and four common toilet facilities equipped for disabled residents. Our home is smell free, clean and beautifully decorated throughout.
Aim of Home
To provide individually tailored care for the needs of dementia sufferers of both sexes. Residents needs vary with the stage of their illness, though most need significant help to accomplish day to day personal care. We do not accept residents with a high level of cognitive impairment where this is accompanied by challenging behaviour, for the safety and comfort of all residents within the home.
We are committed to providing a quality service for all our residents, mainly through competent, caring and well trained staff in a homely environment. Our staff development programme ensures all staff are up to date with the latest developments in care and handling, as well as their legal responsibilities.
Bowercroft was founded, and continues to provide, a safe and secure place to live for those who need a little help to maintain their daily lives. Through our social activities, reminiscence therapy, outings and day trips, we create a real home for those who reside with us. Residents can enjoy life to their full capability, and maintain the best levels of independence possible, whilst knowing support is always there when needed.
