Additional needs are identified through observations and tracking developmental milestones in line with the EYFS. Any additional needs identified are discussed and additional support accessed with carer/parental input and guidance.

Regular updates with day records, EYFS developmental tracking with verbal communications, and meetings. Parents are encouraged to give feedback and input.

Regular observations and next steps to help individual children meet their developmental needs. Use of resources to cover all areas of the curriculum.

Within the setting I create a calm and organised atmosphere and use lots of musical activities and sensory activities to help engage children with SEN or disabilities.  Whenever possible one to one intervention can be given to children with additional needs.

Working in partnership with other agencies such as health visitors, speech therapists, pre-schools to ensure children with SEN or additional needs have access to all provisions. A key worker would be appointed to offer one on one support.

Progress monitored through observations and developmental tracking. Parents and carers have access to this information and working in partnership strategies to enhance development.

Evaluating trips and risk assessing yo ensure trips are accessible to all children in my care. Adapting activities, where necessary, to ensure every child can take part. Bring an inclusive setting.

Accessible. No steps outside, wide entrance.

Meeting or verbal communication with the next setting ir school and handover of transition paperwork specific to each individual child.

Using development trackers to track progress of individual children and working in partnership with parents, particularly linking activities and interests of the children.
