Compaid's Training Centre in Paddock Wood provides a friendly, sociable environment where disabled adults can be supported to develop their confidence and skills in using new technology.
Clients have a range of opportunities, from learning how to use social media and online shopping, Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Powerpoint, genealogy and family research, and digital design packages. Every client develops their skills at their own pace, with one to one support from a staff member or volunteer. There are regular special projects available, faciliated by local artists and other support organisations, and those who wish to do so can study for a professional IT qualification through our partnership with Mid-Kent College.
The Training Centre is fully accessible for disabled adults of any age, and we have wide experience in supporting people with physical disabilities, mild learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries and stroke, and people with sensory impairments.
