Brightstart Preschool Ltd is an independent preschool located in the heart of the village of Borough Green in Kent. We offer a fun, creative and stimulating environment in safe and comfortable surroundings for all children aged over 20 months up until they start primary school. We are a full day care setting and pride ourselves on our personal care and attention to providing a fun and challenging start to learning.

We are open term time only, between the hours of 7.45am and 3-5pm Monday to Friday and offer the following session times.

7.45 am - 8.30 am breakfast club - walking bus to Borough Green Primary School.

9am - 12 noon, 9am - 3 pm, 12 - 3 pm

After school club runs currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3-5 pm

Children can bring a packed lunch or for an additional £2.50 per day have a hot lunch provided. This is cooked on site in our kitchen which has a 5 star hygiene rating.

We have excellent working relationships with all local primary schools including Borough Green Primary School, Platt Primary School, Ightham Primary School and Wrotham Primary School, plus many other local schools.

We are extremely lucky to have an outside area which the children can have access to for the majority of the day, operating a free flow system so that they can independently choose where they wish to learn and develop.

We also have an upstairs room which enables children to have access to a quieter space throughout the day.

We have parking facilities on the premises that are accessible to parents at all times during the day.

Our philisophy at Brightstart Preschool Ltd is quite simple, we advocate "learning through play", which helps children to learn whilst enjoying themselves at the same time. We create an informal but structured learning environment where the children can feel a real part of it without any inhibitions so that they can develop naturally and be able to express themselves freely.

We provide a caring environment which recognises the importance of each child as an individual and always consider how we are able to meet the special education needs of all children and families.

We advocate learning through play helping the children to learn whilst enjoying themselves and developing their independence.

Each child is treated as an individual and guided through the Early Years Foundation Stage using observations and the knowledge of the child and family. Planning is designed by the child's key worker to meet each of the individual learning and development needs of the child, whilst using the child's interests to develop this.

Payments can be made in cash, bank transfer or child care vouchers.

We take children who are entitled to 30 hours of free child care per week. These free hours can be used during 9-3 daily. However they cannot be used for breakfast clubs and afterschool clubs.

You will be required to logon to the government website and check that you are entitled to this free childcare and provide the setting with the 10 digit code. This needs to be renewed termly to ensure that you receive the free entitlement.
