Mid Kent Mind provide a safe and welcoming environment designed to promote positive wellbeing within the local community. Our services are varied – ranging from Community Activity Groups, to a low-cost counselling service, support for young people, and much more.
Our services generally cover Maidstone, Ashford, Swale and the surrounding areas. Below you will find an outline of some of the services which we provide:
Live Well Kent Services – Many of Mid Kent Mind’s services are funded thanks to Live Well Kent – providing a range of support to Adults in our local areas. This support includes Activity Groups focussed on things like Arts & Crafts and Cookery, but also includes things like Peer Support Groups and even our Coping with Life courses.

Recovery Action Plans - Six Weeks of one-to-one sessions aimed to provide people with realistic and achievable ways in which they can improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Low Cost Counselling Service – A mixture of face-to-face, video and telephone counselling services available for £15 per session. This aims to provide a safe space and time to talk to someone without judgement.

Youth Services – Mid Kent Mind also provide a range of services to young people. Generally speaking we work with young people between the ages of eleven and eighteen, and we aim to promote early interventions as a positive step which can equip young people with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in adult life.

Mental Health Awareness Training – Our Mental Health Awareness Training aims to provide a stepping-on point for people to learn more about mental health. We offer a range of different courses and topics – all themed around broadening people’s understanding of mental health so they feel more confident having conversations about mental health and supporting other people.
