Our Nursery offers morning and afternoon sessions for universal funding; AM session 8.30 – 11.30 or PM session is 12.10 – 15.10. Extended funding sessions (30 hours funding) run from 9.00 – 15.10, extended funded (30hours) children can access breakfast club from 8.30 – 9.00 at the cost of 50p per day.

The Nursery provides limited amounts of 30 hours spaces (depending on our Universal funding uptake). The sessions run from 9.00 - 15.10, with a breakfast club available from 8.30-9.00 at the cost of 50p a day.

Special Needs Support

As part of a school the Nursery benefits from a large well- being team, SENCo and Inclusion Manager. Children with additional needs or SEND will be supported following the same processes as the school.

The Nursery will work in partnership with the parent and child and the school to ensure the child's needs are being met. Regular meetings will be in place according to the school’s SEND processes.

The setting will adapt the EYFS curriculum any way possible to meet the needs of all the children. The setting works from the children's individual next steps to support their development at their own level.

The Nursery benefits from an experienced teacher and 2 experienced Nursery members of staff, who have a huge range of teaching strategies. Staff attend the school’s training sessions and can access huge bank of expertise from other members of staff.

The setting provides additional support, depending on children's needs and SEND processes. The Nursery benefits from a large well- being team, SENCo and Inclusion manager that support staff and parents to ensure all children's needs are meet.

The setting will monitor children's progress termly and parents will meet with relevant members of staff termly or as necessary. The Nursery benefits from a large well- being team, SENCo and Inclusion manager that support staff and parents, to ensure all children's needs are meet.

Children with additional needs or SEND are included in the same activities as other children. The setting ensures activities take into account the children’s needs and plan accordingly.

The main doors and access gate are accessible by wheelchairs. The setting itself is quite small but provision is always changing to ensure fair access for all. The main school is completely accessible for children with mobility difficulties.

The setting communicates with all other settings and is happy to meet with new key workers and pass on records. The setting attends local collaboration meetings, including transition sessions with settings and schools.

SEN provision within the Nursery is under the same strict scrutiny as the main school. Regular observations and assessments of SEN provision are in place. All parents of SEND children meet regularly with the SENCo.

The Nursery sends out parent questionnaires 3 times a year. There are also parent’s evenings 3 times a year. Parents are always welcome to discuss any concerns with the Nursery staff at any time. The Nursery also follows the schools compliant policy and procedures.
