Brenchley and Matfield Local History Society

Founded in 1971, the Society has over 150 members. As well as encouraging an interest in both local and national history, one of its main objectives is to maintain and expand its local archive which now contains a fascinating picture of the evolution of the parish.

From our AGM in March, through to the Society's annual lunch in November, our members are entertained, educated and amused. Speakers are booked to cover a wide range of subjects, all with a reference to history.

Any enquiries can be made by telephoning 01892 722339, and a programme of events can be found on our webpage. We are a friendly and welcoming Society, so please come along to one of our events and meet us and, hopefully, become a member.
