Canterbury Academy Youth Centre - Duke of Edinburgh

The Canterbury Academy deliver Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards from the onsite Youth Centre. Participants will have the option of accessing one of two sessions.

An after school session delivered between 3:15pm and 5:15pm, which is open to Academy students, or an evening session delivered between 6pm and 8pm, which is open to all young people (aged 14 plus).

Both sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays (term time). Practice walks, as well as practice and assessed expeditions, will be delivered during weekends or school holidays.

Weekly sessions will include expedition training as well as support with the skills, physical and volunteering sections of the awards. There will also be the opportunity for participants to enjoy the resources and engage in team building activities within the Youth Centre.
