CXK - Get Connected: Maidstone, Dartford and Gravesham

Get Connected is a peer mentoring project matching young people together for structured activities based in Maidstone, Dartford and Gravesham. Trained mentors (aged 16-19) accompany mentees (aged 11-19) to an activity of their choosing for (up to) 12 weeks.

The person-centred project is has been funded to prioritise support for young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), and is designed flexibly to meet the personal goals of each mentee. Get Connected facilitates confidence building, increased personal/social skills and opportunities for mentees to connect to their community.

Date & Time Information: Placements take place March 23 - March 24, Monday to Friday afterscool.

Session Information: Sessions will typically take place in a youth provision local to the mentee and mentor.

Referalls for mentees will prioritise ASC but any young person aged 11-19 with a learning disability who wants some peer support to connect to their community can apply.
